Last Mamba Standing 2026

Last Mamba Standing is a Backyard Ultra held on private land in Eads, Tennessee. All participants begin the same 4.167-mile trail loop at the top of each hour. The race focuses on completing laps within the hour, allowing time for recovery before the next start, until only one runner remains. As an official Backyard Ultra event, the format is straightforward: fail to meet the hourly cutoff, and your race concludes. The loop features private, purpose-built trails with rolling hills, flowing singletrack, and rougher natural sections, ensuring each repetition differs from a monotonous march. The setup is intentionally basic: water, Tailwind, and simple snacks are supplied, but runners must provide their own food, gear, and essential supplies. Primitive camping is offered near the start/finish area and the lake the night before, with portable toilets and hand-washing facilities available. All who finish at least one lap receive a medal, but a single champion award exists: a large trophy for the last runner standing.
