Thaisner DörpsRun

The Thaisner DörpsRun begins on Kerklaan in Thesinge, a village near Groningen, offering races from a short youth run to a half marathon on a Saturday afternoon. Participants can select from 1 km, 4 km, 4 miles, 10 km, or 21.1 km distances. A KidsRun precedes the longer races, and framerunners are part of the event. The course winds through the countryside surrounding Thesinge, avoiding a city center. The event maintains a local feel with a stated limit of 400 participants. While most runners originate from Groningen and adjacent villages, previous editions have drawn participants from Amsterdam and Belgium. Stichting Dorpsrun Thesinge organizes the race, now in its nineteenth edition. The day concludes with a pre-booked Pasta Party for all attendees.
