Tri The Illini 2026

Tri The Illini begins with a 300-meter swim in the 50-meter outdoor pool at the Activities and Recreation Center on the University of Illinois campus in Champaign. This sprint triathlon offers individual, collegiate, and relay divisions. Race morning starts early: transition opens before packet pickup closes, followed by a mandatory athlete meeting in Gym 3, with the race commencing at 8:00 a.m. Following the pool swim, participants complete a 14-mile bike course noted by organizers as fast and flat, concluding with a 5k run across the UIUC campus. The event starts and finishes at the ARC on East Peabody Drive. Parking is available at lot E-14 near First and Kirby. The race is sanctioned by USA Triathlon and adheres to USAT rules.
