Om dette løb
Big Texas Ultra is a trail race at Lake Georgetown, near the heart of Texas, with 100K, 50K, and 15K options. The 100K uses a 31.1-mile loop and climbs more than 4,600 feet, so the long race is built around repeated work on rocky, dirt, and grass trails rather than a smooth road rhythm. It is the final step in a wider Texas Ultra Series that also includes North Texas Ultra, West Texas Ultra, East Texas Ultra, and South Texas Ultra.
The series is set up to move runners through different parts of Texas on foot, with each race tied to a different region of the state. Finishers collect medals that fit together into the shape of Texas, and anyone who completes all five races gets a wooden case for the full set. The Round' Up Tex pass gives runners a way to build toward their first ultramarathon at Big Texas Ultra, and all races are cup-free, so runners need to carry their own reusable cup, bottle, or vest.
