Om dette løb
The Marathon des Alpes-Maritimes Nice-Cannes begins on the Promenade des Anglais in Nice and concludes on Boulevard de la Croisette in Cannes. This 42.195 km road marathon takes place on the French Riviera, featuring a 100-meter total climb, an 8:00 AM start, and a six-hour time limit. It ranks as France’s largest marathon outside of Paris, attracting licensed and non-licensed runners, debut marathoners, and international participants.
The course traces the coastline through Saint-Laurent-du-Var, Cagnes-sur-Mer, Villeneuve-Loubet, Antibes Juan-les-Pins, and Vallauris Golfe-Juan before arriving in Cannes. Since its inception in 2008, nearly 210,000 runners have registered, with participants from almost 90 nations across the event’s various distances. Approximately 30% of the field is international, and nearly half of the runners in a recent edition selected it for their first marathon. Race bibs serve as train tickets between Nice and Cannes on race day, a 1 euro registration supplement supports the Banque Alimentaire des Alpes-Maritimes, and nine pacers guide participants aiming for times between 3:00 and 5:00.
