Om dette løb
The Atruvia Baden-Marathon Karlsruhe is a September road race held in Karlsruhe, Germany. It offers marathon and half marathon distances, along with shorter, team-oriented options like a third marathon and a relay. The full 42.195 km course begins at Europahalle and concludes inside Carl-Kaufmann Stadion, featuring a city-based route rather than a remote out-and-back. Approximately 5,000 runners participated in a recent full-distance event, organized by Marathon Karlsruhe e.V.
The marathon route proceeds from Europahalle into the city center, following Kriegsstrasse and Ostring towards Durlach before returning through Oststadt and Citypark Ost. Participants will pass Karlsruhe Palace, the renovated market square, Beiertheim, and Guenther-Klotz Anlage. The marathon field then turns near Europabad for a second loop. This additional section crosses Bulach, Weiherfeld, Rueppurr, and a portion of the Oberwald, rejoining the initial path around the 33-kilometer mark. A unique support feature includes "Marathon Angels" pacers, available to accompany runners for the final 4 km if their target time is slower than 3:45.
