Bechovice - Praha

Běchovice–Prague begins at kilometer marker 13 on Českobrodská street in Běchovice and concludes in Žižkov, Prague 3. This point-to-point road race occurs on the final Sunday of September and has been held annually since 1897. The course measures 10.031 km, slightly longer than a standard 10K, with 103 meters of elevation gain, distinguishing it from a flat city course. The route travels from Prague’s eastern outskirts toward the city center, finishing at the intersection of Hartigova and Za Žižkovskou vozovnou. The uphill finish contributes to its reputation among participants, and the race has endured through two world wars and the Covid pandemic. World Athletics recognized its status as Europe’s oldest continuously held road race with a Heritage Plaque. Elite times are under 29 minutes for men and under 33 minutes for women. The race's enduring appeal is also reflected in participation records: one man has completed it 61 times, and one woman 37 times.
