Haager Lies Halbmarathon

The Haager Lies Half Marathon takes place in Upper Austria on the Haager Lies cycle path. This paved route follows the former railway line connecting Haag am Hausruck and Neukirchen bei Lambach. The primary half marathon begins in Haag am Hausruck and concludes at the Neukirchen bei Lambach fire station, the location for the day's prize ceremony. A 5 km Powerrun is also offered, starting and ending in Neukirchen and utilizing a section of the Haager Lies path. The course is free of traffic during the event; the cycle path is closed to cyclists and pedestrians while runners are present. Road closures are in effect in Haag, Weibern, Gaspoltshofen, Bachmanning, and Neukirchen. Firefighter marshals manage major crossings, with detours for minor ones. GEMMA Sport organizes the race, which was continued by brothers Samuel and Valentin Humer under the slogan “Gemma’s an.” The finish area at the Neukirchen fire station serves as a central hub, managing race numbers, late entries for the 5 km, showers, food, and beverages.
