O tomto závodu
Tri to Inspire is a short-distance triathlon series in Santa Rosa, California, using a pool swim at Finley Aquatic Center instead of an open-water start. It was created to bring triathlon to Sonoma County, keeping the pressure low: the event is non-competitive, official times are not recorded, and the goal is to finish and enjoy the day. Athletes can choose sprint, mini sprint, relay, youth, adult, or family divisions, including a family team option with one adult and one child.
The mini sprint consists of a 100-yard pool swim, 3-mile bike, and 1-mile run, while the sprint is a 400-yard pool swim, 9-mile bike, and 3.1-mile run. After the swim, the bike and run take place on the flat Santa Rosa Creek Trail, making the format approachable for first-time triathletes, families, and newer youth athletes. Relay teams can split the race between two or three people, and experienced athletes still get a short community race without the usual timing pressure. Registration includes a custom finisher medal, swim cap, and goody bag, and proceeds support Inspiration Sports Foundation’s youth sports camps and fitness programs in Sonoma County.
