Everyone Runs brings runners and walkers to Catalina State Park in southern Arizona for a three-race trail series held in April, September, and November. The November race is the Veterans Day event, with a half marathon, 5.3 miler, and 5k, plus road-run and walk options. Everyone Runs has organized races in the park since 2006, and each race uses a different mix of park trails rather than repeating the same layout every time.
The April race uses the Nature, Canyon Loop, and Birding Trails, while the September race moves to the 50-Year Trail and Nature Trail. The Nature Trail is a relatively easy 2.3-mile loop starting at the park trailhead at the end of the main road, with Catalina Mountain views, Saguaros, Ocotillos, and other Sonoran Desert plants along the way. Runners looking at the course beforehand can use the maps on the race homepage, and the park advises checking trail conditions and advisories before heading out.
